Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that range is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into how you think about it.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
